Black to the Future was commissioned by Black Creatives Aotearoa, and is one of the first printed collections of Black literature and art in Aotearoa. It’s aim was to celebrate the creativity of Afro-kiwis through a variety of genres and forms. This zine was edited by Bareeka Vrede and Acacia Cochise. Formatting by Adorate Mizero, poster and cover design by Anabel Fernandez Santana  marketing and collateral by Ladi Ajayi.  The production coordinator was Layla Pitt, event styling by Jane Kelly of Ubuntu Home, catered by Yeshi Desta of My Mother’s Kitchen, event photography by Femi Matthews, videography and reel creation by Jack Briden.
